For Fall/Winter 2024/25, Portuguese designer Arndes turns attention to the ordinary, crafting a collection inspired by the quiet elegance of daily life. Rooted in workwear and everyday fabrics, the collection reinterprets familiar codes, balancing functionality with subtle innovation.
Muted tones dominate the palette, with shades of white, black, brown and grey forming the foundation. Occasional bursts of cobalt blue break the neutrality, adding moments of vivid contrast. Oversized silhouettes, particularly in pants and coats, evoke ease and comfort while maintaining a structured aesthetic. Classic staples are given new meaning through thoughtful reinterpretation, such as t-shirts adorned with embroidered words over folded fabric, adding texture and narrative.
The craftsmanship stands out in the interplay of rough and refined details. Denim pieces with raw, unfinished hems and seams juxtapose polished finishes and coated fabrics with a subtle sheen. Zippers, used prominently as closures across different garments, bring an industrial edge, reinforcing the collection’s connection to utility and modernity.
Arndes captures the understated beauty of the everyday, offering a wardrobe that speaks to individuality through quiet, wearable sophistication.
The collection was showcased at ModaLisboa (Lisbon Fashion Week), For Good Edition.
