For Fall/Winter 2024/25, Portuguese label BÉHEN celebrates its fourth anniversary with a collection that revisits the brand's essence, making a bold statement of creative freedom that is deeply rooted in its Ribatejo heritage.
Created by Joana Duarte, the collection showcases traditional Portuguese embroidery techniques, including Madeira embroidery, Viana embroidery with glass beads and, for the first time, Glória do Ribatejo embroidery. It also incorporates regional materials and craftsmanship, such as cotton-woven Minde blankets and crocheted socks inspired by the traditional folklore costumes of São Vicente do Paúl.
Through invaluable research provided by The Folklore Dance Association of Casa do Povo de Glória do Ribatejo and the support of local production partners, BÉHEN crafts a meaningful narrative within the garments, celebrating time, tradition and the artistry of Portuguese craftsmanship.
Béhen's collection was showcased at ModaLisboa (Lisbon Fashion Week), For Good Edition.
